ServicesAccess Program

(No Longer Available. The Access Program Is Currently Being Retooled.)

The IMAGE Access Program provides access to state-of-the-art production and post-production equipment and facilities at significant discounts from many of Atlanta's top companies.

Members involved in non-commercial projects are eligible to apply for this valuable IMAGE benefit.

Guidelines
Applications are reviewed by a panel composed of staff and board members of IMAGE film & video center. This panel verifies that you, the producer, are eligible for the services and reduced rates based on the following qualifications:

  1. You are an independent media artist/producer.
  2. The project described in your application is non-commercial in content and funding. It is either grant-supported or self-funded and is a media arts project.
  3. You are a member of IMAGE. Your membership must remain current throughout the life of your ACCESS-sponsored project.
  4. Services are paid for when received at the servicing facility unless otherwise stipulated by vendor.
  5. You have enclosed three copies of your résumé, three copies of the completed application forms, three copies of your budget and a non-refundable $25 application fee.

Application deadline is the 15th of each month. Applicant will be notified of approval status by the 15th of the following month. The Access program can serve you best if applications are submitted at least five weeks in advance of preferred service needs.

Terms of Agreement
The applicant, hereafter referred to as the Artist, attests that all information provided in the application is true and complete to the best of the Artist’s knowledge. Should the Artist knowingly misrepresent the nature or amount of funding for the project, the facility may hold the Artist liable for higher rates, up to but not exceeding the rates as published in the rate card at the time the services are provided.

All work(s) produced in the Access program remain solely the property of the Artist. The Artist assumes all responsibilities for obtaining applicable copyright releases for such work(s). The facility reserves the right to hold any and all materials until services for such work(s) are paid for in full.

The Artist attests that the nature and intent of his or her project is strictly non-commercial. Should the project prove commercial once completed, the Artist accepts liability for higher rates to be paid to the Access facilities used, up to but not exceeding the rates as published in the rate card of the facility at the time the services are provided. The Artist acknowledges that any determination of the project’s commercial status is solely at the discretion of the facility.

The Artist realizes that all services in the Access program are contingent upon availability of services and designated staff at the servicing facility. The Artist acknowledges that the servicing facility’s commercial clientele may have priority with regard to all services, bookings, and equipment of the facility. The Artist must instantly relinquish use of the facility or any piece of equipment therein if called upon to do so by the facility. If the Artist cancels an appointment within less than 24 hours, (s)he may be subject to a fine imposed by that facility.

The Artist must keep his/her IMAGE membership current throughout the life of the ACCESS-sponsored project and agrees to submit updates on the status of the project every six months until completion. ACCESS Program approval does not guarantee participation of individual facility. Facility retains the right to screen applicants and to refuse services at their discretion.

The Artist is required to provide proof of insurance and Loss/Damage waivers to facilities from whom services are sought whenever requested. IMAGE assumes no liability for loss to facility or Artist.

The Artist will provide IMAGE with a 1/2” NTSC video copy of the completed work for its non-circulating library and will list IMAGE film & video center and all Access service-providing facilities in the closing production credits of the work produced with Access services.

IMAGE claims right of first refusal to premiere all ACCESS projects publicly in Georgia.

Important: Submit three copies of each of the following: application form, resume, and project budget. Please include the $25 per project application fee.
